Food Tipping

My flock of 6 are allowed access to plenty of food. They have lots of room to roam but tip over their food. It is a constant problem. We hung the feeder, but they still spill their food.

What do I do?

Sounds like they are billing the feed out with their beaks. They love to do that. There are feeders with fins around the rim that prevent it or you could put the feeder in a larger container so that when they bill out it will end up in the other container and you can pour it back in.

How high is the feeder? I hang mine high enough they have to stretch a little to get the food. Cuts down on waste a lot.

It is about 2 feet off the ground. Is that not high enough? They Have to reach. i have a concrete block because the hens are barely af foot and a half high.

They have a habit to try to fly. Is that blowing the food out?

Sorry. Its about 12 inches off the ground. Not 2 feet.
