I understand the protein part with adults and chicks. But what kinda of feed do I need? What brand. Where can I get it? I'll be getting a&m quails

I believe for quail you want a game bird starter. If you tell us your location we may be able to help with brands, stores etc. People on here are from all over the world.

You need game bird feed 24% protein or higher. The brand I use is 28%. Check with your local feed store on brands and prices.

Manna Pro makes a wonderful Gamebird/Showbird feed that I use on my quail. They love the stuff. Country Feeds also makes a Gamebird Feed.

My small Mom and Pop feed store carries the Manna Pro, and I believe Tractor Supply does as well. I am not sure what feed stores might carry Country Feed near to you. We have a Town and Country Feed Store a few hours away that carries the Country Feeds.

Manna Pro is very expensive, though, at least at my TSC. I buy a 50# bag of gamebird starter from my local (Southern States) feed store for $15.
