For funzies... my Silkie..

He/she is around 12 weeks.
I am suspecting he is a roo from the behavior. He tends to square up to everyone.
He does look like he needs a bath, he insists on roosting underneath the rest, even though he does roost on the bar on occasions.
I know silkies are notoriously difficult to sex, especially good quality ones. I figured I would post this, maybe someone can take a stab at it. I have my inklings from the behavior, but maybe I just have a rambunctious girl (crosses fingers)

I agree with you, his comb seems a bit large to be a hen's. But it is hard to tell until he either starts crowing or starts trying to mate the other chickens. Although, i have a hen who tries to mate the other hens, I think its in a dominance issue

anyway, my silkie roos had HUGE combs, so thats what I would look for.

*Update

So I may have miss calculated the age in the original posting, but not my much.

He is now 20 weeks + Still no crowing. 99% sure he is a boy. He has grown a lot since the original posting
