The store where I usually buy quail starter has stopped selling it for some reason. So I ordered from another place, but the shipping takes more time than I expected. I came home from work today and found two celadon chicks hatched and more eggs piped. I will call there tomorrow to sort things out, but in the meantime I need to feed my chicks.
My options are quite limited. I do have adult quail feed, which I would rather NOT give them due to excess calcium. I also have young pullet feed which is low on nutrition(protein 16%) but has safe calcium level. So my best option right now would be scrambled eggs as I've read that there's everything they need. I have no idea if the shipping takes only a day or longer, so my question is: for how long is it safe to give them scrambled eggs?
