Yes, you can laugh, I had an old tattered picnic table umbrella and where the girls do not have shade in the morning when it can pour heat down on them, afternoon the shade is wonderful. I do change their water 3 and 4 times a day in severe heat (cold water) and fruit, also in the winter I put hot water (not scaulding) in the water pan. We also give them hot mash and warm oatmeal.
My chickens aren't spoiled ....are they?
I went to work last night, I work in a group home. Our lights went out at 7pm last night and are still out. We don't have a phone. I called the phone company, has anyone every tried to talk to a real person at the phone company? It takes you half and hour. The phone computer said no phone until 6/17 HAHAHAHA. I called back and started saying thing like, the apple on the tree fell today, my dog said its hot out, after about 10 minutes of this they said would you like to talk to customer service, the phone will be back on tomorrow.
The light company said the lights may not be back on until tomorrow at 7pm. We will need to move all the guys out of the home and to a hotel. What fun.
The home is on a small road and trees were down on both ends of the road. You could here the trees cracking with the winds blowing. It was really something. I guess the light company and phone company are really busy today and last night. Time and 1/2. Good pay for them.
