I was for sure for a few weeks , now im wondering if im right?
Roo was a buff ameraucana/ hen was silkie/dorking mix
About 8-9 weeks old

Hmm, right now it's kinda hard to tell, I'm leaning more towards hen, but I could be wrong. Try putting your pointer finger in front of It's face and slowly going back and forth. If it cowers it's a hen if it stands up to you it's a rooster. Hope this helps. :)

Thank you! I will try that.

It would help if you post some face forward pics, showing the full comb, I think the one closest to camera shows more red comb than the one circled.

The second pictures is the best i have of its face. It has a very tiny comb, because of it being part ameraucana and part silkie.
The front chick in the first picture im already certain is a rooster . Its been very red for a while and has a bigger comb to see. And has one waddle on the other side you cant see thats larger than this side and very red.
The one in question having a beard and no waddles and a very tiny comb is hard to tell.
