a lot of things take a lot of effort, and some things are impossible so you find a way around them instead.

you CAN and WILL do this

I'm working real hard at finding ways to do things. I've always been real independent and the hardest thing so far is to ask for help at a simple task like putting my hair in a pony tail. My depression level has hit the roof.

I'd had my hair cut off just before it happened to me otherwise I'd never have coped as my hair was so long I could sit on it. It was cut to just above shoulder length, and it was a nightmare even then. I hated having to wear it down! as you gain more mobility in your hand and arm you will be able to use clips or something to hold it up, then the day will come when you can put a scrunchie on. normal elastics followed not long behind the scrunchie.

it is depressing but try to think that you survived which means you are lucky. And as I said, it can and will improve.
it's the time it takes that gets to you, I know.

how much mobility do you have in it at the moment? can you use the arm at all?

Get a cloth headband, just put it over your head and push your hair back outta your face. Hang in there, wish I was close I'd come over and help . You'll get through this and you have all of us cheering you on!
