WOW! I had no idea that "organic chicken feed" ment no "animal" ingredients; what?! Article does a great job of exposing just how unnatural a vegetarian diet is (atleast for chickens).

Organic feed can have organic certified fish meal in it. (fish meal without the preservative.) Just no mammal..

We have a large certified organic flock here. They are fed a whole grain diet, but pick up plenty of bugs, worms, mice, moles and such from the pasture, season permitting.
