Why benefit cranky, obnoxious, hateful horrible neighbors by giving them eggs???

It just REWARDS BAD BEHAVIOR! It's like giving your kid an ice cream cone after he throws toys all over the living room.

Sure, be polite, but for goodness sake save the eggs for the nice people who appreciate your critters.

Eggs are a weird gift. If I didnt have chickens Im not sure I would be appeased by free eggs.

I would have to agree with placating monsters with hard earned eggs. I would, however, try to work out something the easy way before resorting to the "mind your own business, you creep" method. I've learned there isn't much worse than having an enemy as a neighbor.

Of course, I have solved one such incident with an unexpected, well-placed gunshot but that seems a little drastic.....some people don't understand anything else, though.

I would invite them to ride along next time you go to the feed store. Once they see the bill maybe they'll see why you don't just give them eggs. A friend of my brothers was over last night. He helped out getting some new laying hens into the coop for the night. They were trying to nest in the bushes and roost in the trees. We gathered them up and he found two eggs on the ground I let him keep. I told him he could have All he finds. So if anyone asks for some eggs I would find some chores for them to do.
