Foraging treats?

If anybirdie has any good ideas for button quail foraging treats, please let me know! Hitoko loves digging around his enclosure and as a current lone quail I think he’d have fun with it.

I’ve seen mine eat bugs. bugs seem to collect under their feeders, so at feeding time, it’s a double treat.

I have indoor buttons and each week when I clean their homes, I hide a handful of their normal food, dried mealworms and dry egg food in their fresh bedding. I’ve even buried millet sprays, they love digging around for it.

I've given mine crickets to chase. Sprouts are great treats too.
