The State already knows how many vehicles we own AND whether or not they are insured. They know this for every vehicle in the state. They know every time a new car is purchased. They know every time an old car is traded in or sold. So, what possible bearing could me saying "I own 2 cars" have on road funding?
Water bill is charged by gallons used. Sewage is calculated based on that number. It is paid for monthly. It is on record with the city every month. So, again, how can me answering the cost of my water bill possibly effect the city that bills me?
The city and state are both aware of my childrens' enrollment in school. Their standardized test scores are given to the school, city, and state so that they can use that information to better our programs. So, how does me telling them about the two students they already know about effect their planning in any way?
So, here I am, a taxpayer, being accused of being a USER because I pay my taxes and don't manipulate the system? Since when is being a patriot who believes in our country and the Constitution it was founded on make me a user?

Again, I have no problem with being counted for the sake of determining the number of Reps for my state. It's the other 37.5 minutes of my time, and the violation and flat out perversion of our Constitution that I begrudge.

Shortest census since 1800 huh? Okay, let's look at that. In 1800 they asked Head of House, Number, Sex, and Age of "Free Whites" up to age 45... then # of "Other Whites" I guess over 45? and then the number of slaves. True, it didn't limit itself to just enumeration... it added in race and age... but it didn't ask for birthdates, incomes, marital statuses, etc. And, at the time race was a VERY dividing factor. Slavery was still legal. It's not now so why in the nine hades are they still harping on it?
Moving on to 1810... presumable the "long one" you are referring to... since you said SINCE 1800...
The 1810 Census form contained the following information (identical to the 1800 census):

2. Name of the head of family
3. Number of free white males under age 10
4. Number of free white males age 10-15

6. Number of free white males age 26-44

9. Number of free white females age 10-15

So... obviously you have been misinformed... this asks for more than what the Constitution allows (just number) but it is still limited to number, race, and age... either you believe what you're told without ever questioning, nevermind verifying, before you spread the lie or you know perfectly well it is a lie but you only care about yourself and what your pay will be.
As to the census not releasing info... tell that to the Japanese citizens that were imprisoned.. robbed of their homes, their businesses, the clothes off their backs and thrown in concentration camps "for our own good".... there is a presidence on the books that could be repeated if someone decided too... and, just like the 5 MILLION to the Kennedy's that was snuck into the Defense bill while we were all scrapping over the Health Care bill there isn't any promise that we'll see it or be able to do a dang thing about it... but besides that, just how exactly is it that you think they will verify if it isn't conferring with the IRS, HHS, SS, UI, etc? And, do you honestly think that if the IRS hears that you don't have X number of dependents... or that your income is X... that they won't audit you? OR the Food Stamp office... if they see those numbers you think you won't be brought up on fraud charges (knew someone who had this happen, still to this day don't know WHY they were prosecuted as they were honest) and if that happens there isn't doodly you can do.

As to taxpayers caving to this madness just so you can have an easy job... uh uh... should we also keep those who are proficient in building coal fires around just because they can't find any other work? Hardly. Why in the WORLD would someone take a job where their sole purpose is to invade people's lives and threaten them? No better than the thugs hired by loan sharks IMHO. And if they aren't happy with being a government thug then they can bloody well resign on principle and do something... anything else so that they can sleep at night. And, if they've no problem threatening honest, taxpaying citizens, if they sleep like babies after a hard days work... then they are already lost, already as bad or worse than the politicians pulling their strings and there's nothing I can say or do that will save them.
