Foreign Breeds

There are other colors of orpingtons, wyandottes. Also, Owl beards. Lots and lots... If you get a book called the complete encyclopedia of chickens there are tons of breeds that are in other countries but not the US.

In Bulgaria there is Black Shumen hen.Black chicken red earlobes and lay white eggs. There is only one flock no more then 50 birds in the world.

Ok what is Owl Beards? That is the second time today I have seen them listed.

quickest way to describe owl beards is to picture a brabanter without a crest but retaining the beard.

I would love to get my hands on some Japanese Koeyoshi and Satsumadori fowl, but I think there are VERY VERY few to none of these in the US and probably none in Canada at all.
