Foster Homes and Volunteers Needed for Duck Rescue

We need help catching and transporting ducks safely, We also need fosters to care for well ducks waiting for good homes. Training will be provided.

Volunteers must be at least 10 years of age.

Older volunteers will learn to give shots, feed sick waterfowl, and the basic rules of keeping or rehabbing waterfowl. Younger volunteers will mostly learn the basic care of these birds as well as the older volunteers.


What you will need:

• A pair of clothes that can get messy.

What we will provide you:

• Gloves, gloves are a VERY important thing with waterfowl they can carry mites, lice, ticks, disease, and worms. But very few dangerous or even susceptible to humans.

We also provide you with food and cages for fostering or transporting but we would be thankful if you had a cage.



Foster rules:

• Houses who foster should not use Teflon or hair dryers in their house these can be deadly to birds.

• NO TREATS our fosters are strictly on what we provided as there food.
