I am terrified of spiders, and recently had to go under my deck to retrieve a dozen eggs that one clever girl thought she would leave there for me. Thankfully though she hasn't laid under there anymore!

Our best find was 10 eggs.
(Though Um we didn’t find them) they sorta hatched and the hen brought them to us. They were under a shipping container lol

Oh gosh I think mum would’ve absolutely freakedWoulda been a big surprise if 73 chicks had hatched!![]()
If they were laying daily, a minimum of 24 days. But there’s no guarantee they have been laying on a daily basis. I’m impressed!!I am kinda still in shock... Probably will just give them to the cats and chickens, as both really like eggs...
But here’s the thing I was wondering about... how long have my chickens been laying here!? Only three chickens were involved in this!

~this is painfully embarrassing to admit and my heart breaks for the ducks I had years ago). I started finding a Pekin egg every few days. Weeks went by and my Buff Duck started laying. I would get eggs from them every few days, but rarely eggs from both ducks on the same day and rarely would I find an egg/s multiple days in a row. Whenever I cleaned out the duck house, I found 23 eggs, from both ducks, but more from my Pekin. They had been burying their eggs and I had no clue. They still bury eggs to this day, but now my Pekin will make a really nice nest for them and they both lay in there. She makes their nest in the same corner where they hid those eggs months back! I now know they're very reliable layers so i search if I don't see the eggs every morningThank you for sharing your interesting experience with us @ChocolateWingTheRooster! Congrats, it's featured on our homepage!I am kinda still in shock... Probably will just give them to the cats and chickens, as both really like eggs...

I think I would candle them. One should be able to tell if they are still good by candling.
