I am kinda still in shock... Probably will just give them to the cats and chickens, as both really like eggs...

But here’s the thing I was wondering about... how long have my chickens been laying here!? Only three chickens were involved in this!

If they were laying daily, a minimum of 24 days. But there’s no guarantee they have been laying on a daily basis. I’m impressed!!

My ducks hatched in early August 2019, so I wasn't really expecting them to start laying until Spring, plus this was my first time having ducks actually reach this age (believe it or not, I was so incredibly ignorant and didn't even realize that locking ducks up in a predator proof duck house was the key to their survival :smack ~this is painfully embarrassing to admit and my heart breaks for the ducks I had years ago). I started finding a Pekin egg every few days. Weeks went by and my Buff Duck started laying. I would get eggs from them every few days, but rarely eggs from both ducks on the same day and rarely would I find an egg/s multiple days in a row. Whenever I cleaned out the duck house, I found 23 eggs, from both ducks, but more from my Pekin. They had been burying their eggs and I had no clue. They still bury eggs to this day, but now my Pekin will make a really nice nest for them and they both lay in there. She makes their nest in the same corner where they hid those eggs months back! I now know they're very reliable layers so i search if I don't see the eggs every morning
