Found a chicken that looks to have been attacked

ChickNChicken - that is a coincidence. All the best for your girl as well.

Matilda update - managed to get her to drink some water and take some egg yoke from a syringe at first. Then she tried to peck me (cheeky!) and I figured that if I moved quick enough her beak would end up in the egg - it did! and she gobbled it up. Then she promptly turned her back on me, fluffed up and pretended to sleep.

I am still curious as to what caused this damage. If it was a dog it can't have been a big one. We don't have a problem with wild birds - I have never seen one in many years of living here. Very curious!
