Hi everyone, I found a little orange kitten in the bushes last night. It seems healthy enough, but it's not interested in eating or drinking, and it has not pooped or peed. Its current weight is 827 grams (1.8 pounds), it has canines, and the pre-molars look like they are coming in.

How old do you all think it is? And should I worry about it not eating/drinking/pooping/peeing?

spunky little dude.
A little difficult to see from this picture, if we could see him walk it would make things easier.
He does look like he ought to be able to eat pate. He could use a little milk replacer though. Maybe 6 weeks old?

And I am saying he, because in my experience the majority of orange tabbies are boys.

PS he might not be familiar with the type of litter.
My cat loathed the pellet type.

It's in a crate for a reason, lol. I spent over an hour trying to catch it last night. But I will see if I can get a video of it walking.

That's what I was thinking, so I got some kitten pate for it.

I can get some of that.

Maybe? Pretty sure this is the same kitten that we tried to catch one month ago.

That's been my experience too.

You’re welcome! Are you going to keep it? I would think maybe a warm bath would help stimulate its bowels? Idk for sure though. That might stress it out too.
Maybe a warm wash cloth on his rump? And perhaps some chicken broth or tuna juice to get some liquids into him? Some store bought stuff has onion/garlic flavor, and I can’t remember if that’s bad for cats (I avoid it for dogs). You could always poach a plain chicken breast and give him the cooled broth.

Cute little thing. Yes, hard to tell the age, but probably anywhere between 6-9 weeks.

Good idea, I will try that.

I can do that. I also got some Gerber turkey baby food. I also have fluids that I can give subcutaneously if it doesn't start drinking.

Both onion & garlic are bad for cats, so I will check the labels.

Thank you.

We will keep it unless its owner comes looking for it.
