Found a really weird dead bird...

I was looking for a hen yesterday afternoon (she was under the porch) and under a big oak in our backyard I found a dead (wild) bird. It looked like nothing I've ever seen before, and I was wondering if anybody could tell me what it is. I'll post some pics later, but here is a description:

It was about 6 inches long (not including tail)
It's wings were brown and red
It had a really long beak (about 2 in long)
From what I could tell, it had a white belly
It looked bald, but that could of been the decomposition process
It's tail was lying about 2 feet away, and was black on top
The bottom of the tail was black with white tips.

Any ideas? I've never seen anything like it before.

What color was the beak? If it was yellow on the bottom half, the description sounds very much like a yellow-billed cuckoo.

I googled some pictures of yellow billed cuckoos, and that is what it looks like, it was to plain to be a flicker. Thanks guys!
