when I was younger I used to backpack a lot. I used to pack military C rations

I wish I had something like this

I used to seperate the foil packs of bullion from ramen noodles if I was short on space and trap/forage for the rest of my meal cuz nothing was gonna seperate me from my pot n utinsels if I needed to cut weight. Pack, bedroll, shelter quarter, space blanket, sleeping bag, small tarp water purification tabs matches, knife and hatchet. I could stay gone for quite a bit with just those basic essentials... although hygiene took a hit after the first week without soap, toothpaste, deodorant and clean clothes

Wish I knew this stuff was so easy and lightweight. Pretty tasteless. Suppose the ramen noodle foil packs would be fine and dippin the hard tack into the broth.

Sorry, forget that sometimes I'm a lil too old fashioned for my own good. My wife is 5 days younger than me and she still jokingly calls me grandpa (oooooops, technically I am)

It was actually pretty good; kinda salty but good

some butter and cinnamon sugar would make them really good

Instead of pilfering the raman packets, you could get a jar of herb-ox bullion cubes to make the broth up with.
