I normally go to the farmer's markets when I'm able to but I decided to try out this little produce stand/nursery place b/c I needed some veggies. This is what I bought:
4 yellow squash
2 big zucchini
5 golden delicious apples
~1lb green beans
2 large tomatoes
1 dozen eggs (since mine aren't laying yet)
all for $6 and change!!! I couldn't believe the price (though I probably would have paid anything... the guy who runs it is old but has a sexy australian accent, lol)
So tonight I made a squash/zucchini/tomato/onion/cheese frittata with some bread and local butter. SOOOOOO good (and so much better than if I had bought it at wally world).
Just thought I'd share
