Found baby ducklings without mother! Help!

Ooh never thought of turtles, we dont get them in the uk

One year we had a lot of posters with snappers getting their ducklings and adult ducks with feet bitten off or severely injured. snappers are huge and can really do a number on water fowl. This year not as many but still enough to warn folks that snappers need to be removed from a ponds when thinking of releasing water fowl onto it.
Also large mouth bass will eat ducklings.

Well if you don't have snapping turtles that's a bonus we don't have them in Australia as well
How'd ya'll mange that?

Yeah, the only really predators we have here are foxes. I lived in Australia for 4 1/2 years and loved it. I hate the cold here x

I was born in Australia and yeah our only predators are foxes we don't even have giant hawks that sweep down and grab our ducks

We have hawks but nothing too big that would take a grown duck. I would never leave ducklings out unsupervised .

Well the person with the farm isn't able to take them :( We do have a pond near us that's at a big park and its pretty far off the road. There's alot of ducks that live at the pond, it even has land in the middle of the pond that alot of the ducks sleep at and there's people there all the time feeding the ducks bread. I think the park also drops food a certain time everyday for the ducks and the fish so I think I might let them loose there.its pretty much the same as them living in the other pond except other ducks living there and I won't be positive that someone is feeding them daily but I think they'll do just fine there.

I hope your not planning on doing this soon since they need to feather out and get larger or they may just end up attacked by the local water fowl or predators. Ands being as they know you as their mama they are going to really struggle to survive. I hope you'll try to finds someone private who can take them in they will have a much better chance of survival. We see this all to often where ducks are taken to local ponds and let loose with thos doing it thinking they will be able to manage on their own, Not always the case sad to say.
