Found baby ducklings!!!!

Hi!! Can anyone tell me what breed these two pumpkins are!? My boyfriend found them at a lake next to the mother that was run over and he certainly couldn’t leave them there
He said that the “mother” brown but there is no brown on these two what so ever.

I was thinking Pekin but I’m not sure how they would get there unless someone dropped them off and they attached to another duck.
On the bright side, they are safe with me and I plan on giving them a happy life with the rest of my ducks!
Any help at all is appreciated!

Awww. Poor babies. I would have to agree with you that they look pekin. Maybe a pekin duck laid eggs in her nest or she sat on another duck's nest?? Glad you able to provide them a warm home.

But how would a Pekin duck get there to lay eggs?? I was under the impression that Pekins were domesticated.

People get them for Easter or whatever reason and dump them at lakes . Thats how . They are adorable. Good on you/friend for the rescue.

Those are Muscovys. Which explains why they are a different color than their mother. Also there are several wild populations of Muscovys. And lots ferial ones that have been turned loose or escaped.

Any suggestions on what I should do?
I wasn’t sure if they were old enough to be on their own yet.
