Found Chicken Dead Today?!

Yes Marek's is contagious, which is why I suggest you keep a close eye on the others for signs of it.
I will thank you very much but before bed i did some thinking about their past behavior and remember when i fed them there was always one who walked away from the feeder so i am thinking the most likely cause was chicken bullies not allowing her to eat. I always thought that maybe she just wasn't hungry at the time but now i am thinking they wouldn't let her eat.

Chicken society can be cruel. It's always a good idea to have at least two feeding stations whether you have two birds or twenty.

I FOUND ANOTHER CHICKEN DEAD TODAY :hitheres links to her and pics of the rest of the chickens to see if they look healthy

It's difficult to tell anything from photograph of a chicken lying dead. Since this is the second death I would urge you to send it off for a necropsy.
It may just be the angle of the photograph but your chickens appear to be overcrowded. That will cause stress and stress can lead to illness. For that many chickens, at least 2 food and water stations would be a very good idea. The waterer you have should be fine. If it is adjustable I would suggest you have it set to completely fill the saucer because that many chickens will need plenty of water, but you really need another one in case one gets knocked and spilt. Water is crucial to chickens, particularly in the summer. It helps them to cool down. I would also hang that waterer higher so that it is just below head height. That will keep it cleaner and reduce the chance of it being tipped and spilt as well as giving the chickens a little more space.

Not sure if this is contributing to your recent deaths or not but your chickens are extremely overcrowded. That coop from tractor supply is only meant to hold about 4 chickens and some people on here would argue only 2 chickens.

With that small space they are likely to get diseases and peck each other, resulting in potential deaths.

It's very likely some aren't getting enough food and water because they just don't have enough space to move around the more dominant chicks. You're going to run into more issues as they get older.

You really should downsize your flock or rethink a larger coop and run for that amount of chickens.

It looks like it may be this coop. Dimensions, not including the exterior nesting boxes, are about 9x5 run, 5x3 coop. So it really should not have more than 4 chickens.

I hate that they market them up to a certain # of chickens, when that higher number is for bantams. They need to say how many LF, since most new chicken owners won't know.
