How many hens do you have total?

Just 4, two Rhode Island Reds and two Buff Orpingtons. It was one of the Reds that is the culprit, she also seems to be taking the top teir in the pecking order.

She has been hiding eggs for weeks then.
I'd keep all four cooped up for a while to see if you can get her trained to lay where you want her too.

As soon as you walk in the door with it..just after you collect it from the coop!

The only reason you would need to "wait" is if you were giving them wormers or other recent medicines.
