I'm very thankful we still have the 9... and they are doing good, still adorable. I've had to cluck to them to get them to start eating but after dipping all their beaks they know where water is and have been helping themselves. Never knew when I got into this I would end up imitating a mama chicken. She was a very good game hen she got as many of her babies to safety as she could.

My husband sounds just like a mama hen...

I am so sorry to hear about the deaths, but great job with those babies.

They just didn't seem happy by themselves so we threw them in with the latest incubator hatch

They are 3 days older but they all get along great and they instantly showed the newbies how to peck and scratch and where water was, they are all doing so well together.

What are the chicks with the black streak on the top of their head and yellow body? I have some chicks like that and am wondering what they'll turn out like...

By the way, they're very sweet and cute!
