FOUND: my grandma's recipe for my favorite dish as a child "posh"

2 lbs yellow squash (sliced)
2 eggs, beaten
1 small onion (chopped)
½ green pepper (chopped)
1 cup mayonnaise (i recommend hellmans)
1 cup parmesan cheese
seasoned bread crumbs
salt and pepper to taste

saute chopped onion until translucent, add green pepper. saute for a couple of minutes, add squash and cook until done. add beaten eggs, mayonnaise and parmesan cheese. pour into buttered baking dish (grandma used aluminum pie plates) dot with butter and top with seasoned bread crumbs. bake it at 350°until golden brown or you feel the cheese has melted.

oh yeah i guess i left that part out huh. you just bake it at 350°until golden brown or you feel the cheese has melted.
 
Think I'll make this today. Do you use the pre-packaged parmesan like the Kraft ones or do you grate fresh parmesan? Does it even make a difference which is used?
