FOUND ROOSTER

today i was doing errands when i passed by an apartment complex, i saw a rooster. he looks fairly young and looks like someone just threw him out. i threw some grapes out for him to eat. then i came back a couple hours later, now, have him another snack, and he’s still there. i don’t want him to starve out there, what should i do?

I live close to Houston, TX. You drive by apartments and you can hear the roosters crowing. When my husband and I drive to church, we always look for a certain rooster to be out front. My guess is that someone is taking care of him.

You can always call the Animal Control.

Call animal control and see if they can help. His tail has been ripped out so he's probably had a predator encounter he survived.

Unless you're planning on taking him home, animal control sounds like the best option.

I doubt he'll starve (he can probably scrounge up enough) but more likely he'll be picked off by a predator or by some not-so-nice humans.
