Found something attached to yolk

So I went to fry an egg and noticed this attached to the yolk. It looked almost like a piece of oatmeal(I know that's not what it is). But didn't look like a worm. Any ideas? Should I be concerned?

Do you have a rooster? If you do it might have been a developing embryo.
I am no expert so I don't want to mislead you!

It would probably take 24 hours... Could it have been laid last night or did you witness the hen laying on it?

That is a meat spot. A bit of tissue shed from the reproductive system which is then swept up and included in the egg. A fertile egg that has been incubated will show a developing spider shaped set of capillaries surrounding the blastoderm. You can view embryo development in the learning center.
