Hi, all! Was at my local pet supplies store (PetCo or PetSmart, I forget, always get them mixed up!), and saw one of the employees putting new fishies in some tanks. They come in plastic bags of water, which are set down into a REALLY NICE styrofoam box with lid, and then put into a cardboard box. I would guess that this is pretty standard packing for aquarium fish being shipped in bulk.. Anyway asked the nice employee if I could buy or have a few, she said no problem, take what you want, they throw them away anyway (!!), betcha this is pretty standard, too! (I asked & she said they never reuse them and doesn't think that anyone really does). The styrofoam boxes that they had were pretty much the EXACT same size as my LG still air, not real tall like some of the ones you can buy (which was a bonus to me, less space I have to heat). Soooooo.... just thought I would let everyone know that it might be worth checking with you local Pet Supplies store (or local Aquarium supplies?).
