Four colors of Starlight Green Eggers

one of my starlight’s, Clementine, laid her first egg today! She’s in the front of the pic, closest to me. she’s the lighter of my two and laid a gorgeous egg! i had expected more of a mint color, but I much prefer this! i also added a photo of her egg (left) with my olive egger’s first egg (yes i saved it. i’m *that* chicken mama 🙈) beautiful sage-y green. dullish, and i love it!

she was also an adorable baby chick 🤗 🐥

Almost 9 weeks.
Very flighty except for the dark one.
I love that you were able to get a cross with legbar. I think mine are a cross between a Bluebell and a Welsummer. Still hard to determine my Welsummers from my Starlights. I do have one that looks similar to your lightest one. That’s a definite.

The injured chick in my photos with the bare neck is the only one with the darker chest. I split the chicks with someone. We do not know if the injured chick is a Welsummer or a second Starlight. My light chick is my other Starlight. The pair that looks alike could also be either Starlights or Welsummer🤷🏻‍♀️ I guess I’ll find out when they start to lay. The one on the feeder is one out of the pair. Got a close up of the feathers.

I have a starlight green egger. 4 wks old. In the lighter color. Hasn't feathered out on her head yet, has yellow legs. I didn't know they came in the darker versions, I'd have gotten one of those because right now it's hard to tell her from my ISA browns and golden comet. She has silhouetting on her individual feathers, and the others have feathers that are one color or the other, but it's same orange and white color scheme for all of them so far. She's a sweet bird. A slight bit more skittish than the others, but still willing to sit with me and come over for hand treats. As a chick she was light yellow with caramel chipmunk stripes. Sort of whitish yellow. In the last picture you can still see her down and chipmunk stripe where her feathers haven't grown in between her back feathers and her right wing.
Updated picture of this chick (Sassy) at 6-8 wks. She's getting a lot less shy. The black chicken is a PBB and Sassy is in the front in the third picture (back chick is an ISA Brown).

These are my 2 starlight green eggers that I picked up 3 days ago from TSC, so they are probably about a week old now, or getting close. They are both so cute, but I'm so in love with the dark one. They were labeled pullets so hopefully they both are. We are only keeping one and giving the other to a friend but it's so hard to choose. The light one is crazy active, and we have 2 jersey giants with them who are way calm, so the contrast is sharp lol. I'll update every few weeks.

I have two that are 8-9 weeks now! Both from TSC. Here are pictures of them as chicks, at around 4 weeks and then today at 8-9 weeks.

Darcy is the darker one with slight waddles coming in - suspicious that she might be a roo, but I go back and forth every day (second to last two pics) Wanda is the more golden one who I’m fairly certain is a pullet (last two pics).

So fun to see pictures of everyone’s SGE kiddos!

Love seeing everyone's different colors of these!

Thought I would update since the Starlights I have left have been laying for a few weeks. They are laying almost daily. Their eggs are mostly light olive green, but we've had one bluish one and one greyish one.
When I get new pictures of the two with poofy heads that I gave to a friend I will post those.

Feather Flocklear and Natasha about 20 weeks old. Started laying at 16 weeks.

My little SGE ladies laid their first eggs the last 2 days and I am shocked! Both green, and I was expecting Easter Egger type of pastel green but these are 😍 dare I call that darker one Olive? For reference they were born in the week leading up to Memorial Day and it is now Oct 19 (for anyone in the future who stumbles upon this looking for info). Also the minty/aqua colored egg is from either my Bluebell or "Olive Egger" (who is very much not an olive egger lol

The legbar cross was a surprise. Wasn't expecting that at all since it's says Prairie Bluebell and a "brown egg layer". Then their hairdos started to come in. I noticed in the BYC group on Facebook that there are several others who got starlight's with the legbar hairdos this year. They are pretty but sure aren't friendly or nice. The dark one is nice and is so far the most interesting color. Not sure what she'll look like grown.

I can't tell which of yours are starlight's except for your lightest one. They are all pretty though 😊 Like you said I guess you'll find out for sure when they lay.
