fowl pox?

one of my chickens had a black looking scab, i thought it was just something stuck on its face so i tried getting it off, i got it off but there were some down feathers stuck to it. under it looked like a puncture wound, it was a bit swollen and red. i thought it could be from her trying to get out through some broken wire (i have an old coop, i plan to replace the wire) but I'm not sure. she eats and acts normal. shes about a month old. i couldn't get a picture because its hidden with feathers and she wouldnt stay still.

It sounds like an injury or peck wound. Pictures would help.

Pox can range from beige to brown to black, and may appear different in each chicken.

Usually there is more than one scab except in young chicks
