Hi,

I have a 9.5 month old Austra white hen with white spots all over her comb. Can anyone tell if this might be fowl pox?

Health history:
She has been ill recently with what I think was salmonella overload (now much better). She also has some scabs / bumble foot on both of her feet, but not much swelling or redness (I’m cleaning and wrapping daily for now to see if it will subside). Currently not laying.

Surroundings:
She lives with 9 other hens in an outdoor coop and run, with some free range time daily. She is close to the top of the pecking order and I have not seen anyone peck her, I don’t think it’s wounds. It’s been quite hot and humid here so i don’t think it’s dry skin.

Thanks so much in advance!

Thank you! She seems to be doing fine and none of her flock mates has this so That makes sense.
