yes, they have rounded tips. Just didn't know if you cut it, if it would work without harming the hen and how do you measure for proper fit to crop.
I'm gonna guess maybe lay it along the bird from mouth to crop to measure and make a mark on the tube so you know when you get to the mark you should be able to feel the tube in crop, no cutting needed. Would that work do you think?

Again, this really needs a helper to steady the birds head
 
That looks ideal - soft rounded tip, yes???
That type needs no cutting.

The ones with the curve on the end are coude caths, which are used as urinary caths in special circumstances, like prostate problems in human males, the tip is stiff as opposed to soft like a feeding tube, hence the original questions. Thanks, good explanation with exellent pictures.
