Fox attack / Rooster hanging head

My rooster fought off a fox. No visible injury but he can't lift his head and he's panting. Drooling cause he can't lift to swallow. He's a giant Brahma the size of a turkey I don't know how to help him. He won't lay down so his head is fully stretched hanging to the floor. I'm worried if I leave him like this over night his neck will grow stiff and will no longer be mobile to position correctly. What do I do? He's been like this all day and still panting like he can't breathe.

Hopefully it's just shock and he'll recovery with a little quiet time and supportive care

I believe he is in shock. He's not panting today but head still dropped to the floor. He's laying down a lot now. I make him get up and I dip his beak into watered down chicken feed and every so often he'll snap out of his daze and take a drink of the slop. It's like he's coming in and out of consciousness even though he's awake. If I tap his bowl like a chicken pecking, the sound snaps him out of it long enough to get a couple bites. Then I hold his head up to get it into his crop. I don't think he'll make it through the night. Can chickens come out of shock this intense? Its very sad. He did good protecting his hens he's been mean to me a couple times but now my heart is broken. I hope I see the day his attitude comes back. It's just not the same without his presence.

I hope he pulls through ❤ I've had a mean rooster and he drove me bonkers and he'd just absolutely tick me off when he attacked me, but I still cared a lot for him, so I understand your heartbreak

I checked his neck again today and see it's all blue from bruising. Must be really really sore. I've been giving him half a baby aspirin morning and night but don't think it's making a difference. He's drinking a little bit but doesn't want his mushy food. Think it hurts to swallow. He's still alive but don't expect he'll make it long. I hate to see him so unwell.

Oof, the poor guy, that must hurt pretty bad. Do you think it is just bruised or also some fractures in his vertebrae?
