Okay so I have gotten most of them out but there are 2 or 3 left. We are going to the vet today and ill clean him out again when i get back from school.
Thankyou for the support and advice guys.

I will be trying the during method and will update later.
 
The during method?

Good that you worked on getting the maggots out. It is called fly strike, if you ever want to look it up.

Do take him to the vet. I think they can help.

okay so the vet was full today but we are booking an appointment tomorrow. Bubby looks heaps better and all the maggots are completely gone from one wound and we have just flushed both wounds out with methylated spirits. he is picking the maggots out with his beak so that seems good i think...
 
You should have all the maggots out by now and have the wounds clean
this is very important or you are going to have one big problem down the
road as I am sure you would not want to be treated like this I hope Bubby
is your baby yes will treat Bubby as such and give him a nice dry place to
sleep inside for a few days if possible ..... How is he sleeping is the beak
going under the feathers yet as this is a great sign to recovery ......
