Don't feel stupid; I'm sure there are about 1,000 others out there that wanted to know the same thing, you just had the courage to ask! That's what its all about....
 
We are now sure it is a fox especially after getting some new pictures. It is fun though seeing all of the different opinions on what it is!

Its not really an animal. Peligro is spanish for 'danger'. It was a humorous alternative to the chupacabra. The post talked about the sign 'danger-peligro', a bi-lingual highway sign usually at a dangerous curve. They meant to fool you into thinking it was something like a 'deer crossing' sign.
