Foxes neighbor's been feeding

My suggestion would be to see if there are any wildlife rescues. I would personally catch the fox and eliminate them but that is me. Maybe you can catch them and see if a wildlife rescue would take them. I had an issue with an owl. I caught it and the wildlife rescue here took it and said they had a release area and it shouldn't come back. It killed some of my birds. For the fox, I put out live traps and let the fox take the bait for a few days then set the trap and caught it. Good luck for whatever you decide...

I did leave a message with a wildlife rehabilitation, hope they call me back

well, you could try the ye olde wooden crate propped up with stick. 🤔
Or put out an ad for a large havahart to borrow.
Lol! It went down to 25 degrees last night...no way am I laying on the ground waiting to pull a string! I appreciate your humor though, any good laugh these days is good 👍

They got used to the traps.

So this is what I'm talking about, when I say I love it here talking chicken talk with you guys....now tell me, where else could I show this photo, of what I saw this morning?

I put a cinderblock & brick there last night, it was dark & I figured I will carry them back the rest of the way to the other blocks & bricks tomorrow when I can see.

So tomorrow is now today, I go to put the block & brick where they belong, and see "someone" has left a calling card.

That darn fox!!! Took a crap on the brick! How did he even manage to aim it that high & get all turds to stay on the brick?!

I know you all can appreciate this...like I said, who else can I tell? LOL

I honestly don't like the thought of killing animals either, but the other day when I saw a fox (as I was in my vehicle pulling out of my driveway) grabbing one of MY cockerels (that are on their way to the sunny side of the mountain anyways) by the tail feathers, my possessive instincts completely took over and I just *wished* that I had a gun at hand. Because those are my birds, and I don't care if that fox is hungry or whatever else. No animal has any rights on my property, except My animals.

Despite my calm protests, my boyfriend shoots anything in the yard, racoons, skunks, squirrels, bobcats, coyotes... he has always left the foxes alone for some reason, and of course the deer for obvious reasons. There will be no mercy from me for a savage fox who wants my birds for dinner. And I will no longer calmly plead for the poor things lives. And if he won't do it then I guess I'll have to.

I'm so glad I'm not in your situation. I have some neighbors who don't like roosters but that's the worst of it, and they seem to be warming up a bit...

If it ever came down to that, fox or birds, sorry my birds win & fox has to go. I think the other neighbor at the horse barn is going to do something about it though. My yard is not the fox's only litter box.

Check to see if it is an issue that the neighbor is feeding them. Maybe fish and wildlife can send her a letter or come talk to her. I'm in Colorado and I know it is big trouble if you feed bears.

The guy I bought my house from last year said he used to feed the fox dog food. I'm guessing that is why I've had a ton of raccoons and a few fox come by every night. I have a water bowl out for anyone that needs a drink of water, but I never have food out for anyone. (Except the covered chicken feeder inside the fully secured run). I'd rather the fox grab the mice and rats!
