Fragile yolk

My eggs have harder than usual shells and yolks that break no matter how gentle I am. I wanted to poach some eggs and went through about 10 eggs trying to get 4 good ones. I couldn't separate the yolks for hollandaise either. What is wrong with my eggs?

Not all eggs are the same. I have had eggs where the whites were so thin, that the yolk just pops out of them.

My question is how old are your birds? I think the quality of the egg can decrease with older hens.
