Fragile Yolks?

Seems lately that a lot of fresh egg yolks have been breaking. Does anyone have any suggestions on what may cause this?

How old are your chickens? Our old flock of Golden Comets had this problem when they went into their 3rd year of laying. Our new flock of Barred Rocks, which just started laying a month ago, are not having any problems with their eggs.

they're about a year and a half old or a little older right now. I expect they'll go into molt soon...

Any other info appreciated!
