I'm in the process of building a coop/run for my new chicks. Over the weekend I was at a neighbors house and they had just removed an old 7panel dog kennel from their property, I asked what their plans for the panels were and they said they were going to the scrap yard. So now I have a bunch of dog kennel panels in my yard to use for my new run.
I had planned on HW cloth for the lower 3ft with welded wire fencing up from there and over the top as well as buried out from the run sides to prevent digging.
since the kennel panels are strong enough on their own to stop predators will chicken wire attached to the lower section of the kennel panels be enough smaller things from getting through and coons from reaching through? I still plan on covering the top in welded wire fencing and burying it around the perimeter for diggers.
thanks
