Free Mystery Chick!?!

We've noticed how aggressive and territorial this little free chick has become...when my husband went into the brooder for a visit yesterday, this little chick placed itself between the others and my husband, puffed up and squared-off with my husband! My husband strongly suspects we a roo!

This mystery chick got a big crop immediately following me adding the pine shavings to the brooder...I suspect it ate some. I went in a couple times a day and massaged it gently (no vomiting or anything) for a few days...I had started sprinkling chick grit on their feeder the day I added the bedding. Eventually, this little one awoke in the morning with an empty crop! Now, this little mystery chick is my friendliest (at least towards me). I also believe it to be a hen... time will tell!

My little mystery chick... one minute I think it's a girl, then a boy, no--girl, wait... LOL... There was no sign of any comb yet, until today! Outta nowhere, there it is! Kinda pinkish coloring? Hmm... I'm on the fence. (Will be 3 weeks in a couple days). Pics!

Love my little mystery chick. Always the first to greet me and definitely the flock leader. Still can't tell if it's a boy or a girl though.

I swear my little Wyandotte's comb and wattles are getting more red...3.5 weeks old now. It's always the first to come forward, since day one. I'm strongly leaning towards roo. I'd be surprised if he ever laid an egg. I'd appreciate any advice on keeping him tame. He already knows my 'treat call'...smart little thing.

UPDATE: "Mystery" (named this chick) is now 4.5, almost 5 weeks old. The chicks are all feathering out nicely...I managed to get some decent pictures this morning... What do you think, hen or roo?
