Lo and behold,. There were 2 gulf fritillary caterpillars plus what looks like a fall webworm chrysalis on the food for the fritillary.
When you stop by our gardening stand you'll see our property is fluttering with moths
and butterflies this time of year. I got a glimpse of a checkered white (Ponitis protodice) as well.
