Free range ducks

Mine are in the dog kennel. It's 30x40 definitely big enough for 3 ducks.

Imagine how big would a dog kennel for 28 ducks would have to be…

Did you solve your problem? My duck Bill and his 6 Saxony girls have developed a routine where they follow a trail around the house then back to the duck run. I think they return because that is where their pond is and they get a ration of duck feed in the morning and afternoon. If I am late to call them in , they return to the coop in late evening before dark and nest about in the tall grass and low bushes. Bill and the girls have lived here for 18 months.

As far as fencing goes, they will go under fence rails and gates if high enough but we lay down a layer of chicken wire under the duck run fence. The grass grows up through it so it disappears but other critters cant dig in and I bet the ducks would not be able to dig out.
