I've had great luck with training my free rang chickens and Peafowl to calls, by giving them hard boiled egg yolk. If your Peas get a test of egg yolk, and you whistle(or do some special call) every time you give it, you will have them running to you in a matter of days. Hard boiled egg yolk, while being very nutritous, is absolutely irrisistable to them. After you,ve set the hook with the egg yolks, you can move to other treats, they'll run for. Those freeze dried meal worms, sold as "Happy Hen Treats" are like potato chips to the birds and chicks, they love them and they are 51% protein. My male, Blue sits on a bench every morning and has coffee with me,(well, I have coffee- he has meal worms). He loves his freeze dried worms, and is out there waiting for every morning. I'm impressed with those food trays you prepare. My birds want to know if you cater?! Enjoy,
