We have a white silkie chick born April 3 that we need to rehome. At about 4 weeks old it injured one of its legs and after every attempt we made to help it the leg has ended up turning out permanently. We are not setup to accommodate him, (I'm guessing at this point) for the long term so we're looking for someone to take him in.
He's a sweet guy and gets around ok. He makes his way to food and water, gets out of the coop and down a shallow ramp but can't seem to make it back up. At night he lays on the ground and the other Silkies huddle up with him so we have to put them all in the coop by hand every night. We're not able to do that regularly and I don't want to risk losing them all to a night time predator before we can get to them. (We use automatic doors on our coops.)
Anyone interested please reply here or text me. We're located in the Kingsport/Johnson City, TN area.
