FREE TO GOOD HOME: 3 year old boy...

Return once he turns 18 LOL

I am sorry to hear about this, I have had accidents here too with my ever so curious boys! They even tried to fight over a duckling when I turned my back for 2 seconds and, in a second that baby was dead, I balled, my oldest balled and my youngest was looking like - What? - he didnt know he just wanted to hold the baby too, but wasnt gentle about it and tried to rip it from my sons hands, it was heart breaking, I remember my oldest when he was younger trying to take my new silkie chicks for a swim in the kiddy pool like the ducklings were.
So sad, keep your chin up and hope for the best!

UPDATE> I think they are both going to make it, although I don't know why. The one he squished, or whatever he did to it, is standing and walking again, but a little wobbly. It was supposed to go join it's mama and the other chickies tonight, but will have to wait til tomorrow, to make sure it can get around better. The one with the 'assisted hatch' seems just fine, I just hope my bator temp didn't drop too much when my son goofed up the top on it, I have dutch banty and guinea eggs in there too!!

my first thought was when I read the title was, " Man, somebody else must have kids like mine!" LOL! I did 3 months of "hospice" care for a squeezed chickie that my now 12 year old son got ahold of when he didnt believe me that he was too young to properly hold a chicken. All these years later, I still remind him that there are days when "Jimmy" the chicken could come back to haunt him some day, especially if he keeps being a rude and hormonal 12 year old.

Yay:lol: Hope everything works out well from this point on. I'm sure your baby didn't mean to hurt the chicks.

I am sure that the reason he messed with the chick in the bator was because he has seen me helping them out some. But idk what he was thinkin with the other one!! He had found a clam shell on a trip to the river behind our house one day. He told me that his clam 'bited' the baby on its back, so I'm not sure what happened. It seems like it should pull through, although it is a bit wobbly. It seems to be having trouble standing up straight, and it still is not peeping.

My bator is in a locked room,I wear the key around my neck.
I trust no one.
I was never able to take naps, even when i was sick.Hubby worked nights so I had to keep all the kids quite all day
