Free!Windows in Minnesota(can I use stained glass in a coop?)

Sandy, that looks like you uploaded directly from your computer. You must use the link from your flikr album then click the IMG above the input screen.

Here is our $6 window, installed. Still need trim around the window and to replace the trim we have to remove on the back side to cut a pop door, etc. We did have to buy a crank handle for it, $3 at Lowe's, so the entire cost was $9. The right side is Suede's coop, the left with the new window is where my Delaware and Welsummer girls are.

Speckledhen,
That's a beautiful window, not to mention the coop itself. I can't wait to get out this spring to start building my own.
I have tried all sorts of things with no luck in posting those pics. My son even came over today and had no luck. I am just very frustrated right now! Everyone's pictures are so fun to look at. OK, deep cleansing breath! This to shall pass.

That wasn't a coop to begin with, though. It was an L shaped storage shed. Then one side became a coop, then the other side became a coop. Now we have to build a shed to house all the stuff we crammed into our crawlspace that came out of that shed, LOL.

Habitat for Humanity operates recycled building materials in many areas. The one near me has some amazingly cheap building materials, ie windows, doors, lights, cabinets. You might want to check and see if there is one near you.

That's a nice window, especially for $6!! I've been trying to fabricate something out of plexiglass for our coup. It's been a pain, and has cost well over $6!

Speckledhen - I always enjoy pictures of your coop. So lovely. I'm sure your chickens are lovin' the new windows!

BTW, Catalina - I would TOTALLY put a stained glass window in my coop. It would be so pretty. Remember, it's for YOU as well as the chooks!
