I'm not sure why the OP wants to hang it, but one reason folks often like to is because it is harder for rodents to get into it, if it is hung high enough to be out of their reach, where as if it is on the ground or even on bricks it's possible for them to get in, though putting it on bricks would be better then the ground. So a couple options I can think of. You could add a 2X2 across the bottom of the floor of the coop, and a 2X2 on each end running along the wire to the ground. That should hold that container full loaded. Or don't fill the container all the way up. I'm not sure how many birds you have but that container full ought to last them a good long while. Plus when your down on your hands and knees hanging it, if it's full it's going to be pretty heavy. I think if I were you I'd go the simplest approach first. Put a hook in, full the feeder 1/3 full or however much you think it will hold without being to heavy, hang it and see how long until you have to fill it again. And see if your happy with that. If yes, your done. If no then reinforce. Those are my thoughts.
