So I was in Petsmart yesterday getting food for my robo dwarf hamsters, my fiance's beagle, my three cats, etc. (the list of pets goes on...)

when i got curious and went into the reptile aisle and saw a can of freeze dried mealworms... now i know chickens love mealworms...

do you think freeze-dried mealworms would be safe for chickens? what bout 4 week old chicks? i just don't know if by freeze drying, they would be adding any harmful chemicals, etc.

any opinions?

They're fine for chickens and ours love them! Sometimes Santa brings some for our chickens, in the middle of our long, bugless winters. We've gotten the packages sold as bird feed.
