I do the same here. I have a ziplock bag that I put everything in that goes out to the chickens. But I do have a lot of leftovers. My kids are so picky. Luckily the chickens are not. Mine absolutely love cheese!

Do you or anyone on here know if chickens can have chocolate? I have this old trail mix with lots of good stuff in it but it has little pieces of chocolate. I know dogs can't have it, so I've been holding off. Tried picking it out but that took forever!

I Googled it and got both sides. Some sites said toxic, others said they feed it to their chickens. :/
I've never given any chocolate to mine, but I'd love to hear if any of our members have. I trust you guys more than any random google search!

I read that peanuts were bad. Not sure that us accurate (or if your trail mix has peanuts)

I give mine chocolate very now and then....technically chocolate does not have the high concentration of cocoa in store bought chocolate unless you give them dark....which I don't recommend.

I would think nuts are fine because wild bird seeds has nuts....so....I give mine nuts....

Never fed chocolate, never had any leftover chocolate. DH has a serious sweet tooth.

I fed mine chocolate cake we had left over after we could eat no more. Lol!!!!!
